TOWN FUNDS WATER LINE EXPANSION.(CAPITAL REGION)

The Town Board authorized borrowing up to $14.3 million on Tuesday to continue expanding municipal water access to town residents.

The board voted unanimously to bond up to but not exceeding $14,336,400 to finance the construction of additional facilities to the town's water systems.

``This is a cap,'' Councilman H. James Bold said of the dollar amount. He said long-term borrowing for the project was about a year away and that spending would be monitored.
