Fed: Margaret Jackson appointed co-chair of leadership forum

Qantas head MARGARET JACKSON has been appointed co-chair for next year's inaugural
Australia-New Zealand leadership forum.

Foreign Minister ALEXANDER DOWNER says senior political, business and opinion leaders
from both sides of the Tasman will attend the forum.

The forum, to be held in Auckland in May, will discuss issues of mutual concern in
a changing world.

Mr DOWNER and his Kiwi counterpart PHIL GOFF say the forum aims to ensure that the
close and dynamic relationship between the two countries continues to flourish.

Mr DOWNER and Mr GOFF say they've had a broad-ranging discussion on regional and global
issues including terrorism and the situation in Iraq.
