A COURAGEOUS youngster from Bury St Edmunds, who suffered a brain clot in a biking crash, is fighting his way back to fitness.
Liam Askew, 17, was training at Wildtracks, in Kennett, when his bike nose-dived and he was rushed to hospital with a swelling on the spine on April 28.
Doctors at Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, put Liam into an artificial coma and told his parents he might not wake up
But just four weeks later, Liam is back at home in Tassel Road, Bury, with his brother Callum, 12, and looking forward to getting back on with his life.
